Soda blasting is a relatively new stripping technology that propels a bicarbonate-of-soda media (baking soda) via compressed air onto the area to be cleaned or stripped. This process removes paint and contaminate without harming the substrate surface. The soda is a specially formulated, non-toxic, non-hazardous, food grade product that is 100% water soluble and completely environmentally friendly.

The soda fragments upon impact with the surface that's being cleaned and this sudden release of energy is what loosens the contaminate from the substrate leaving it completely unaffected. Unlike sand blasting, soda blasting does not generate any heat so it will not stress-relieve the metal which causes warping ( or oil canning).

When soda blasting vehicles, it will remove paint down to the base metal (or gel coat) without damage to the glass, chrome, or aluminum trim. Normally a complete car can be stripped in a matter of a few hours.

Since soda is a natural odor eliminator, it is ideal for cleaning and deodorizing fire and smoke damage in buildings. It is also a great product to use for mold and mildew remediation.
